David was older than me. He lived out of state . I always looked forward to seeing him at reuniond and holidays. Never saw him without a big smile on his face. I know my family, especially his parents truly miss him. What a wonderful memorial tribute this is in his honor.

A Loving Father

As his daughter, I’m proud to tell everyone that David Young was my Daddy. I feel so blessed to have had a dad who loved me unconditionally. I miss him very much but am so thankful for every second I got to spend with him while he was here. Even though his physical body is not with us today he will forever live on in our hearts.

David was the type of officer that we all aspire to be, he led by example, he motivated everyone he came into contact with and he showed a love and compassion for his community that we could only hope to emmulate.

He was a man of integrity. Joking and having fun was one of his priorities in life. He had a contagious laugh and when he smiled, everyone around smiled with him. He was tender-hearted and would give you the shirt off his back if he thought it would help you. He had a booming voice even when speaking softly. It was said that God had given him an internal microphone. He was an inspiration to others to be the best they could be. He was a loving and caring person who made an impact on everyone he met.
